The next meeting is Linux-Lite: The talk will be about hacking into the Android's guts: Google's new smartphone which operates on top of a zippy Linux kernel. After, attendees will show off their own low power or mini-linux devices.
NOTE: New time + place, click the (title) link for details
Matt Steven will give a brief presentation with an overview of what makes the Android system tick (architecture), as well as a very generalized overview of how Android apps work. (non-programmers, fear not!)
He will also talk about how the phone can be rooted and made extremely useful to the professional system administrator, showing a few very handy apps that are freely available.
So if you have an Android phone, feel free to bring it along so we can see its features, and see what cool apps you've discovered.
But most importantly, bring yourself, and a friend!
